For this project I decided to colour the canvas with fabric paint, embroider parts of it, add appliqué then lining material and finally construct the bag using both a sewing machine and a serger. This canvas was ideal for each of these six techniques I used. The material itself is very strong but still quite flexible and comfortable to handle. I would highly recommend it. Thank you to everyone at Tahims and Online Fabrics for their good advice and for a friendly welcome every time.
